Adware, spyware, malware……The three most feared buzzwords in the PC community. Some forms are malicious (malware) while others are just annoying (adware). Other forms are just an invasion of privacy (spyware). All it takes is for you to visit the wrong web site and BOOM!, a cookie, applet, or .dll is downloaded to your PC and you are the new owner of spyware. Here are a few tips on where to look first if you fear your PC is the unfortunate recipient of an attack. This article assumes that your PC is using an antivirus program and some form of anti-spyware softare. Yes, even if you have spyware detection software installed, your PC is still vulnerable.

What about the malware that won’t go away? Well, there are certain categorys of malware that cannot be aloof by any category of spyware deletion software. If you feel that your PC has something nastier than the common spyware, you should do 1 of 2 effects:
